Orvieto Italy Tourist Information and Travel Guide

The National Archaeological Museum is located in the Papal Palace next to the Orvieto Cathedral or Duomo.  It contains artifacts from the Etruscan period.

For the price of admission, visitors can also visit the nearby Etruscan Necropolis of the Crocifisso del Tufo.

The Necropolis is a chamber of tombs that were built with blocks of "tufa" that were quarried nearby.  It was built in the 5th and 6th century BC.
