Public Garden

The Orvieto Public Garden (Giardini Comunali di Orvieto) is located in what once was the Fortezza Albornoz castle.  Although the castle moat and drawbridge no longer exists, a portion of the fortress wall still remains.

The Public Garden can be found adjacent to Piazza Cahen, directly behind the upper Funicular Station. It is accessible through a tall gate.

Visitors to the Orvieto Public Garden can look forward to a spectacular view of the hills of Umbria and the valley floor that surrounds Orvieto. 

The Orvieto Train Station and lower Funicular Station located on the valley floor are visible from this hilltop lookout.
